James Carss

James Carss is a life-long practitioner of the martial arts. Based in the North-East of England, he teaches Yi Quan, Xing Yi Quan, Liu He Ba Fa and Western boxing to both local and international students. For eleven years he studied extensively in Hong Kong with some of the world’s greatest masters, including Sifu Chan Tak Chuen, student of Master Han Xing Yuen, and Sifu Hui Kit Wah, student of Master Han Xing Qiao.

Line of Intent Media has published James’ latest book, Yi Quan – Fighting Art of the Han Brothers, the first of a series which will deep-dive into the principles and training of the internal arts.
